ITINERANT LIBRARY GOES TO LA PAZ/

LA BIBLIOTECA ITINERANTE VA A LA PAZ

Inauguracion en Paraiso de Osorio

JUNE 10th, 2008.-

On Tuesday, June 10th, the Itinerant Library "Bernardo Melero" ( aproject sponsored by the U.S. Embassy and Centro Cultural Salvadoreño) was inaugurated in Paraíso de Osorio, department of La Paz. The opening was in charge of Cultural Affairs officer Marjorie Stern and Mr. José Luis Díaz, Mayor of Paraíso de Osorio, also present were representatives from CONCULTURA.

The Itinerant Library is a collection of books that includes children's stories, literary works, encyclopedia, dictionaries and biographies. The collection will remain in the cultural house (Casa de Cultura) in Paraíso de Osorio during one month, and will be available freely to students and general public.

Estudiantes en PAraiso de Osorio consulta la Biblioteca Itinerante

JUNIO 10, 2008.-

Este martes 10 de Junio se inauguró la Biblioteca Itinerante "Bernardo Melero" de la Embajada de Estados Unidos y el Centro Cultural Salvadoreño Americano en la Villa de Paraíso de Osorio, en el Departamento de La Paz. La inauguración estuvo a cargo de la Licenciada Marjorie Stern, Agregada Cultural de los EE.UU., y contó con la presencia del Sr. José Luis Díaz, Alcalde de Paraíso de Osorio, así como representantes de CONCULTURA.

La Biblioteca Itinerante cuenta con obras clásicas de Literatura, Cuentos Infantiles, Enciclopedias, Diccionarios, y Biografías de Personajes Ilustres, y permanecerá durante un mes en la Casa de Cultura de Paraíso de Osorio, para consulta de estudiantes y público en general.
