Scholarships Available for Higher Education for Women

AAUW (the American Association of University Women) Education Foundation will be offering 57 International Fellowships to eligible female candidates for the 2005-2006 academic year. This program provides support for one year of graduate or postgraduate study to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. International Fellowships are not renewable. Preference is given to women who show prior commitment to the advancement of women and girls through civic, community, or professional work with the intention to return to their home country to pursue a professional career. Award recipients receive funding in the following categories:

Master's/Professional Fellowship $18,000
Doctorate Fellowship $20,000
Postdoctoral Fellowship $30,000

The postmarked deadline for applying for the International Fellowship is December 1, 2004. *Master's and Doctoral applicants must have applied by December 2004 to an accredited institution of study for the period of the fellowship year and must indicate the name of the institution in the International Fellowship application.
