Ambassador Barclay and his wife celebrate Teacher's day at CCS

Ambassador and Mrs. Barclay paid a visit on Monday, June 20, to the Salvadoran Cultural Center as part of its celebration of Teacher's Day. The pair spoke to a group of young Salvadorans who are studying English at the Center.

The Ambassador and Mrs. Barclay talked about the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Independence Day, celebrated on July 4. They encouraged the children to study hard, especially their English lessons, and reminded them how important it is to read.

Most of the books surrounding the Ambassador and Mrs. Barclay were donated to the Center by the U.S. Embassy.
