Museum receives the Ambassador’s Fund

In
an official ceremony on August 11, U.S. Ambassador H.
Douglas
Barclay presented a grant from the Ambassador’s Fund
for Cultural Preservation for a project to restore the
Cathedral of Santa Ana.
Participating
in the ceremony were Minister of Tourism José Ruben Rochi
Parker; Salvadoran National Director of Cultural Patrimony
Héctor Sermeño, and The National Museum of Anthropology
Director David J. Guzman Dr. Gregorio Bello. The
National Museum of Anthropology and its project to better
preserve
its collection of archeological and ethnographical collection
of 11,500 artifacts. The funds provided for this project
are $28,920.
This
is the fourth time that El Salvador wins the Ambassador’s
Fund for Cultural Preservation.
