New Horizons 2006 Concluded

On May 31, Salvadoran Vice Minister for Defense Abrego and Ambassador Barclay presided over a ceremony to mark the official closure of New Horizons 2006 in Perquín, Morazán Department.

During this joint humanitarian training exercise, the tenth that has been conducted in El Salvador since 1993, members of the Salvadoran and U.S. armed forces constructed two community health clinics and classrooms for three public schools, dug several wells, and provided over 15,600 medical consultations in eleven communities of Morazán.
