Ambassador Barclay spends Christmas with Salvadoran troops in Iraq

Ambassador H. Douglas Barclay, and Salvadoran Minister of Defense General Otto Romero Orellana, spent Christmas Eve with the Salvadoran troops from Cuscatlan Battalion stationed in the city of Al Kut, in Iraq. Seven contingents of 380 Salvadoran soldiers each have served in humanitarian and reconstruction activities in Iraq.
Ambassador Barclay and Minister Romero are accompanied by Salvadoran Army Chief of Staff General Jorge Alberto Molina Contreras, and National Assembly members Ernesto Antonio Angulo Milla y Carlos Rolando Herrarte Rivas. Monsignor Fabio Colindres Abarca is also part of the delegation. On Christmas Day, they attended the inauguration of a school built by Salvadoran soldiers.
